This blog has evolved. Initially it recorded guerrilla gardening projects in Lethbridge, which began with the "Public Garden Boulevard Project". This blog will now be a mash of thoughts regarding public/private outdoor spaces, guerrilla gardening as well as my journey figuring out the Boulevarden. If anyone wants to share their gardening - guerrilla or otherwise - on this blog email me at loraleee@gmail.com

For Annie and Dana
This is the second friends garden I have photographed...as I believe gardens entice people home. (They have been in Edmonton as Annie has a show opening at the Alberta Biennale tomorrow night...I feel bad and left out that I am missing it)
They have a great garden full of perennials and tomatoes and sunflowers. Their walkway was beautiful tonight with the sunshine dancing through the shadows of the tree above.
I was surprised to see a Tangerine Twiller (below) in their front garden, they are very rare in Southern Alberta. The second horrible bird picture was a dove or maybe even a love bird...I took the picture with my camera phone so it looks like a skinny crow...but trust me it was lovely.
